PrimaPure™ Melanocyte Growth Medium is formulated for PrimaPure Human Epidermal Melanocytes (HEM) cells. HEM cells are cryopreserved at second passage and can be cultured and propagated at least 12 population doublings when using this media. Epidermal melanocytes produce melanin, thus a useful cell model in the study of hyperpigmentation through accentuated melanocyte proliferation and differentiation1,2 as well as progression of melanocytic neoplasia3,4.

Storage
Store the growth medium at 4°C in the dark. Shipped overnight on blue ice.
