PrimaPure Bovine Endothelial Cells are available from aorta, coronary and pulmonary arteries. All endothelial cells are characterized positive for uptake of acetylated low-density lipoprotein (LDL).
Bovine endothelial cells are an economical alternative suitable for the studies of endothelial function and endothelial metabolism, especially in co-culture of species-matched bovine arterial smooth muscle cells. Bovine large artery endothelial cells are derived from the arteries of USDA-inspected cattle. These cells play critical roles in cardiac homeostasis. Changes in structure and function of endothelial cells have been linked to vascular diseases such as thrombosis, atherosclerosis, and hypertension.
PrimaPure Bovine Endothelial Cells are available from aorta, coronary and pulmonary arteries. All endothelial cells are characterized positive for uptake of acetylated low-density lipoprotein (LDL).They are cryopreserved at second passage (BCAEC at third passage) and can be cultured and propagated at least 16 population doublings.
Storage Cells are cryopreserved immediately after purification and delivered on dry ice. Place cryovials immediately in liquid nitrogen upon arrival. Store the growth medium at 4°C in the dark. Store the subculture reagent at -20°C upon receipt and at 4°C upon thawing.
